Please return a completed Registration Form and a signed Release & Indemnity along with a deposit.
DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS
A deposit of US$500/ CAD$500 per person, per tour must be paid with the Registration Form and Release & Indemnity. Payment may be by cheque or by VISA or Mastercard. We strongly recommend that you purchase tour package cancellation insurance. This is the only way to receive a refund after full payment is made. Great Explorations has insurance available. Please call the office to ask about this option. For all tours, the balance of payment is due 60 days before the tour start. For those paying by VISA, your signature authorizes us to debit any outstanding balance within 60 days of a tour start. If final payment is not received when due, Great Explorations reserves the right to regard the reservation as cancelled. All non-residents of Canada must pay the $US price for any tour or service.
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellations must be made in writing. All cancellations are subject to a US$250/ CAD$250 per person administration fee. The remainder of the deposit is fully refundable up to 60 days before the tour start. If you cancel a Great Explorations tour within 60 days of the tour start, the full land package, including the deposit, is not refundable.
We strongly recommend that you purchase tour package cancellation insurance when your final payment is due if you are booking more than 60 days before you travel. If you book less than 60 days before the tour, cancellation insurance must be bought within two days after the tour is confirmed. (We also highly recommend airfare cancellation insurance, which you would purchase at the time you buy your airline ticket.)
In the event that we must cancel a tour, full refunds will be provided for the tour package. Great Explorations will not be responsible for any additional charges such as non-refundable airline tickets.
After we receive your deposit we will send you a statement and Trip Planner, including detailed information about the tour. We will send you a Participant list and final hotel list 30 days before the tour start. Please feel free to call us and discuss anything about the trip.
We require you to have full health insurance, including coverage for repatriation. Please provide us with an indication that you have this insurance at the time full payment is made. You can purchase this insurance from Great Explorations.
GOODS AND SERVICES TAX
Our European trips are exempt from the GST. All Canadian tours are subject to the GST of 5%.
Great Explorations and associates act only as agents for the traveller and can accept no responsibility for the service of any tour operator, accommodation, restaurant or carrier used in connection with these tours, nor any liability for claims, damages, expenses or other financial loss to persons or property. In the event that it becomes necessary or advisable to alter the itinerary or arrangements for the comfort and/or well-being of the participants, such alterations will be made without penalty to the operator. The right is reserved to cancel a tour and to decline to accept any person as a member of a tour at any time. Photos of customers may be used for promotional purposes.
Tour prices quoted on this site are land prices per person, assuming double occupancy. Prices will vary with longer or shorter stays and single supplements, and occasionally with time of year. Great Explorations reserves the right to change tour prices.
