Overnight at the Kaunas Hotel and enjoy dinner at the hotel restaurant.

The city is also known for its wooden buildings, art nouveau architecture and medieval Old Town. The pedestrian-only Old Town has many shops and restaurants and is home to lively Livu Square.

Ride Distance: 41km; 200m

6

Day 6

Riga

We will begin the day with a walking tour of Riga, Latvia’s capital and a city described by Lonely Planet as: “Latvia’s capital can cast a spell on even the most experienced travelers. It’s a city where medieval mysteries live alongside contemporary art performances, hundreds of Art Nouveau buildings line historic streets, and the city’s flourishing culinary scene offers traditional Latvian dishes and modern Nordic cuisine. Yet Riga is largely undiscovered by mass tourism. It’s perfect for appreciating a tranquil and cultural city without a crowd.”

For those that want to ride, after lunch, cycle out to Jurmala and it’s attractive beaches. But you could easily fill the rest of the day in Riga exploring the famous Art Nouveau district and Riga’s impressive museums; each of the Latvian National Museum of Arts, the Museum of Occupation of Latvia and the Zuzeum Art Center are superb. For dinner, we’ll enjoy some Nordic-inspired cuisine.

Ride Distance (optional): 44 km; 235 m

Ride Distance: 40 km; 365 m

Day 8

Parnu

We’ll shuttle north towards the Estonia border and ride along the coast to the city of Parnu, Estonia. There is lots to see here, including the Museum of New Art, the former Communist Party headquarters, now housing one of Estonia’s cultural spaces. Tour Reviews

November 28, 2025

Our guide was outstanding. The local guide and driver were also very good. Overall experience far surpassed expectations. Amazing history, great people, far more modern and developed than expected.

November 28, 2025

Excellent hotels and restaurants, and so were the guides and city tours. The roads are wonderfully smooth with very light traffic. I especially loved the paved paths through the forests. The history talks at each country added greatly to the trip, and made current events with Russia and Ukraine very real. Our GE guide was lovely and made sure everything went smoothly.

November 28, 2025

Pre-trip communications were particularly good. Bike paths incorporated in routes were especially appealing! Hotels were much nicer than we expected and were well staffed by helpful people. EVERY BED was comfortable! “The Spot” in Tallinn and the lunch break on Curonian Spit on a rainy day are particular highlights for me. Dmitri is one of the best guides we have enjoyed on your tours, or any other tours for that matter.
